@amWhy I don't need to engage in a delete/undelete war to win. People who agree with my assessment can vote as they wish, and the consensus will be clearer than if one of the delete-voters was me again.
@amWhy Still can't be deleted yet.
@amWhy @SimplyBeautifulArt: Hmm despite the bad mathematics, I am satisfied with the effort the asker has shown, and that has made the question no longer a duplicate (technically) since it is asking for verification of his/her attempt. At the time it was edited there were no answers yet, so I think it's acceptable:
@SimplyBeautifulArt: Hmm. This seems borderline. It was originally a Please-Solve-Question and hence the duplicates identified answered the question, but after the asker edited to include his/her attempt, it is now different since the question is now about whether the attempt is correct. Jack has added the proof-verification tag, and I agree and will also vote to reopen. By the way, J. Jenkins, your attempt is wrong because if you can't split a limit into a sum of $n$ terms where $n$ is undefined. — user21820 4 mins ago

@user21820 Thinking about asking on meta concerning this question.
@user21820 I'm just dissatisfied that a question which was rightly closed as a dupe was changed completely to be reopened.

@amWhy you really lost 27059 rep points after 1 user was removed ?

@SimplyBeautifulArt Yea I know. I would agree with you as long as the asker didn't show enough effort. But after the edit it was sufficient to satisfy me that the asker wanted to learn mathematics, and I personally like to reward such users. However, the existing answer is bad (note that it was posted after the edit).
@SimplyBeautifulArt You of course can ask a meta question if you like. Then you can put a link here. =)

@SimplyBeautifulArt Yes, indeed, I understand the aggravation. Note Did's point in a comment below the question.

@SimplyBeautifulArt, @user21820, @Did This question (PSQ) had two upvotes when I encountered it! Now down to 1 net upvote, and a vote to close. There are no excuses for such a question.
