There's simply less seat to sit on, down there in the "pan" part

I've shoved some pool noodle around the edge which helps, but my weight is now partically held by the fabric of the seat pad. Not ideal.

For future reference: Brick Lane Bike freewheels are apparently re-labelled DNP freewheels. DNP manufactures in PRC now and predominately serve PRC markets.

Chances are pretty good that their freewheels on Ali Express are genuine and of their usual quality.

@Criggie however you fill it, you might always notice the edges of that channel. You might have to cover it with something rigid enough. Perhaps a CFC panel you heat mold to the shape?

TIL For winter riding one also has to develop processes for winter maintenance.
