Had a thought. If I posted a question "What's the best way to take pictures of a bike to get an ID?" then we'd have something to refer people to when they take bad pictures. Or, do we really not want to encourage ID questions?

not really - that last BMX ID question could be a good cannonical close duplicate for the ID MY BMX ones,

The last couple of ID questions had such bad pictures I thought maybe a little guidance would be useful

perhaps something about photos should be added to the "how to ask" page.
