9:18 PM
My lovely set of wheels arrived in the mail today!

9:31 PM
I hope they were labelled "do not fold"

9:47 PM
They were in an immensely large box.
It was a little inconvenient to bring them home from work on the tram and the bus.

Yeah I can imagine.
Still -are they good ?
bike-porn

a little too dark for good photos now.

tomorrow then once you've got them on the bike ?

I'm not going to ride them for a while though.
Need to get rotors and a cassette first. Then I'll need two Thursdays where I leave work very early. On thursdays the self-help bike repair shop is open. Since I will need a cassette tool and large torque wrench.
And lastly, I'll wait for the winter to end. Don't want to spoil these with all the salt.
In the meantime I've knobby tyres on my stock wheel set.
However, they will server for motivation to get rolling before spring arrives.
Do you think a cable lock with a 2 mm thick cable offers better security than one with a 1.6 mm cable?
Neither will hold against a wire cutter.
I expect both will be awkward to cut with a pocket knife.
I think it will be more likely I bring a 50 g bike lock along than a 80 g lock.
Otoh it's not very likely that a bike is stolen in less than 15 min out of sight. Perhaps I simply ought to risk that instead of faffing with locks.

10:35 PM
I don't leave my nice bike ever. I would always lock the shopper bikes when parked, but only with a cable lock.

10:52 PM
What do you do on longer rides?
Cafe stops, going to the loo, or buying victuals (banana, choc milk, something to drink).

11:07 PM
Hehehe Endura subtitled Graeme Obree in their latest video.
It's almost like the Austrian-German-Swiss TV station that subtitles everyone who speaks with a Swiss accent or dialect

heh well... he does have a beet uf en ikksend
Oh I was rude yesterday
> Standard Magic means nothing to me - perhaps write your native language into Google Translate at translate.google.com and post the english version in here.
but a quick check on his IP shows it was in the US.
So probably not an ESOL problem
@gschenk If its a cafe stop then there's always someone else in the group about. But I just ride without stopping when its just me. I don't tend to need a toilet stop while riding, and carry my supplies with me.
