Me own lad nearly did that when he was four. Handlebars perpendicular to abdomen, other side braced against the a kerb. But he got a blunt end where the end cap was still good. The other side was sharp, but pointed to the ground. The rubber was completely sheared off at that end, and mostly cut off at the end pointing to the child.

So - my bent must be well overgeared. Its got a 22 tooth grannie and a ~28? large. When in that gear I simply can't balance.

But the grannie is damaged so it catches and holds the chain. I've been riding on the 32 or 34
