If it just randomly started happening without anything else changing, then it might be related to VSCode's cache, which can get corrupted rarely. You could try clearing it. I can't vouch for this site but I found this: programmersought.com/article/59887862628user2740650 53 secs ago

A client will always have to initiate a connection first. This is not specific to Go, and not even to HTTP. For websockets, this will also be the case. Whatever is a good option for your project is really a question that's too broad for StackOverflow, and perhaps is more suitable for softwareengineering.stackexchange.com? If you’re building a new app today, it might be worth taking a closer look at making it cloud-native and using Kubernetes from the jump. The effort to set up Kubernetes is less than you think. Certainly, it’s less than the effort it would take to refactor your app later on to support containerization.
