Stack Overflow is a question and answer site for professional and enthusiast programmers. There are other sites in the SE network better suited for this kind of questions. Superuser could be the site in this case. — James Brown 12 secs ago

Machine learning might sound complicated, but with the help of p5.js, we can make interactive visualizations to help wrap our head around these algorithms. In this session, we make a visualization of the popular K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm. Join us as we discuss how this algorithm can be applied to real data and track down bugs…

Welcome to Stack Overflow! Please take the tour, read what's on-topic here, How to Ask, and the question checklist, and provide a minimal reproducible example. "Implement this feature for me" is off-topic for this site. You have to make an honest attempt, and then ask a specific question about your algorithm or technique. Is Software Engineering the right place to ask about if I'm heading down the right path, based on my understanding of certain concepts?
Or if there's gaps in my understanding, or something I'm overlooking?

@Zymus Probably not, sorry. Such questions are open-ended and aren't really answerable. The “right path” is often subjective and opinion-based.
A forum without the Stack Exchange focus on Q&A might be more appropriate, though I don't know a good one for this kind of question. If your project involves a particular technology, it might have a helpful community.

@amon Thanks. Yeah, it's about ddd, ports and adapters, and event-driven architecture, but not specifically targeted to any technology.

@amon would code review be an okay place, at least on a conceptual level? That way the code that the problem describes would be included, and might be more aligned with specific concerns about the architecture?

@Zymus Code Review expects real, running code. Not just example code to illustrate a design. In principle design review are on topic here on Software Engineering, but I've never seen a question that did this in an answerable manner – and community support for that might have waned over the years.
However, “specific concerns” might be a good starting point. Good questions are about real, solvable problems that can receive an authoritative answer.

@amon Yeah, this is real, running code, but mostly focused on whether this specific interaction should be designed this way or that way, so closer to open-ended I think. Thanks for the help though.

How about a question about if a specific component, with specific characteristics, would or should be modeled as a specific Domain Driven Design concept? Example, if some class is more of a DDD Domain Service, Application Service, or Infrastructure Adapter, based on how it's used/its interactions with others?

9:26 PM
@Zymus That might be a good question (it's likely objectively answerable), but TBH I'd expect the community to downvote that question initially. But looking through your post history you know how to write well-received questions, so go for it :)
