stackoverflow.com (the main site that is) is the wrong place for this kind of question. There are other stackoverflow sites, such as softwareengineering.stackoverflow.com, superuser.com, and the like that are more appropriate for best-practice questions (softwareengineering) or how-to (superuser) type questions. @Synaps3 blockchains very broadly consist of three aspects: a peer-to-peer protocol for sharing data, a database for representing the current ledger state, and a consensus mechanism for agreeing on changes. There are a lot of design decisions that have to be made before selecting any particular protocol. Instead of trying to design a cryptocurrency from scratch you might want to start by modifying an existing protocol like Bitcoin.
