Mods/folks, I have a personal request. Someone closed my question unilaterally (meaning, he was the only vote). He was, at the time, I think not even a Programmers (as it was then) mod but rather a SE employee. Now he's no longer a diamond, so I can't appeal to him to reopen. The closure was completely in the wrong from the outset, in my opinion, as I've explained in a comment on the question. Can you please reopen?
@Oded, how on earth is "where do most programmers/scripters put a comment" primarily opinion based? Let alone the fact that I request "an accepted spec or guide that supports your answer". — msh210Dec 24 '17 at 9:45
@msh210 Ovid was not just an SE employee but also an avid contributor to the site. Here, he acted well within the scope of the site.
Your interpretation that “the closure was completely in the wrong” is flawed. Note that asking for external resources and statistics is off topic as well.
The question has been nominated for reopening by someone and has entered the relevant review queues. If the community or a mod decides closure was wrong, it will be reopened.
If you'd like a more in-depth explanation of why the question ought to stay closed, please ask on meta.
