@Chandruvelan: No. Career questions on Programmers are off-topic. This question could be on-topic on The Workplace, though. — Zeta 50 secs ago

Sorry to say because your question is clear and detailed, but this kind of question is off-topic on stackoverflow because it's too broad and primarily opinion based. You can try to ask it on programmers.stackexchange.com — Tim Schmelter 51 secs ago
@TimSchmelter Could you flag it to be moved to programmers? That would be helpful. — Toby 48 secs ago
@Toby: unfortunately there is no migrate to programmers option. Copy&Paste it. — Tim Schmelter 25 secs ago

hello everyone, not sure if anyone's interested or it's on-topic here at all, but I created a proposal at A51 for SAP - do you think it's viable? area51.stackexchange.com/proposals/103062/sap

[StackOverflow]((stackoverflow.com/tour)) is a Q&A site for specific questions. You might find a more appropriate venue for your question at Programmers ('Programmers Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for professional programmers interested in conceptual questions about software development. ') — Jeeped 21 secs ago

Well this week seems to have me back in the zone.
@ZoltánSchmidt I would not be a promoter of SAP myself, but you're welcome to recruit support if you like.
oh, I just noticed there's a PMSE: pm.stackexchange.com
(must have joined a while back and forgot...)

alright, works on Python 3 on Windows.

I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because the answers are all available in the linked paper. — gbjbaanb Feb 22 at 10:23
^^^^^^ it's this sort of incompetent moderating that we want to avoid.
I think that user had well over 30k rep when he made that post.

@ThomasOwens ok, noted. Just to clear things up: OP is asking whether there are some popular technics to achieve his goals? Does it fall under questions at programmers.stackexchange? — Sergey.quixoticaxis.Ivanov 45 secs ago

This question is a bit broad for stackoverflow (maybe try programmers?). That said, we use Octopus Deploy to manage this. — Nick Bailey 40 secs ago

I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because this is not directly related to programming. Mathematics is better suited for this type of question, but if you're asking a homework question, you should provide the way you tried to solve it yourself. Please read this open letter first. — Artjom B. 59 secs ago

I want to ask you about the asynchronous programming style. You say that we can write more responsive programs if partition the system into asynchronousy communicating servers (aka actors). But how do you handle the obsolete messages? Suppose you send a request to a long task for the data to be displayed on the current user form. User closes the form before request is finished. Response will try to draw itself on unexisting form. Is there a methodology to handle these situations?
I guess that cancel request must be sent altogether with closing the form and any response arrived must be first checked against the cancelled state.
But, I would like to hear your opinion anyway.

@tomka I don't disagree. I'd say possibly it could work on Programmers but they'd probably disagree with that and I don't spend enough time over there to know if it would work or not. But honestly it probably wouldn't work there because it's too broad. It's a great question for something like a forum but I don't think these work too well in a Q&A format. — Dason 44 secs ago
