Hey. You peeps heard of Coder Dojo? It's a coding club for kids. We've recently started in Tullamore. Younger and newer kids downstairs learning Scratch. Older kids, and the ones who have been in another club for a while, upstairs doing web development. Generally, I'm just letting them work through the lessons on Code Academy, and hanging around to help out if they get stuck. It's not a formal lesson: they're all going at their own pace. Works nicely.
Those who are most of the way through HTML and javascript are ready to move on to a less directed project, instead of the lessons in Code Academy. That'll be cool. One of the kids built a website for the club, and I showed him how to use git to get it up online. Training them how to use git properly will be fun.
Anyway, one of the kids isn't really interested in programming. He's interested in modding games. And, since he's autistic, he loses interest quickly. I told him to skip the HTML lessons on Code Academy and move straight to javascript. (The way Code Academy teaches js doesn't really depend on a knowledge of HTML, which is good.)
Still, I'd like to get him a couple of open source games to mod, preferably using JS as a scripting language. Since I'm not a gamer myself, I can't think of any. Any ideas?

@TRiG That use JS by themselves? None that I'm aware of. Actionscript is very similar to JS though.
