@Novice Not a mod, so I hope you don't mind I pitch in. Notice it's not just about people being upset with bad questions being answered, it's also that most such questions are closed and then deleted in a matter of hours/days/weeks. So if you do put in the time and answer it then your answer will likely eventually be deleted together with the question. So you could have just as well answered it on a piece of paper and put it in some folder, the end result is the same.
I would suggest that to continue using this site to learn in an optimal way you should probably: 1) focus on questions which are not PSQ's and are not duplicates 2) ask your own questions.
Note that what makes a question bad is not its level but its quality. Questions about advanced topics can be bad and questions about simple arithmetic can be good. A question is good if it shows effort by the OP and clarifies all needed concepts. It's just a matter of finding those questions to answer. There are less of them than the total proportion of questions we know how to answer, but they still do exist.
One last thought: when I see a PSQ by a new user I vote to close and paste in a useful message (taken from the meta site templates thread) to help the user know the question is not considered good. Quite often this makes the OP add in their attempts or otherwise fix the question appropriately. If this does happen then this makes the question then acceptable for answering.

@Novice If a question interests you, and you would like to try answering it in order to learn, then you have a few options that everyone should be happy with:
(1) Post the question and your attempt in chat and ask for feedback.
(2) Post a completely new question on the main site with your attempt in the question itself, and tag as .
You won't make anyone unhappy as long as you do not provide your solution attempt to the asker of the original poor-quality question.
@XanderHenderson The user restored not only the removed profile page contents but also seems to have added some screenshot of the page... Can't you erase the profile page and lock it?

@TheSimpliFire @ParamanandSingh: ^ You might want to deal with this, as Xander seems busy now.

@Snaw @user21820 Thanks for the feedback. When I'm interested in answering a "bad" question I'll either do it in chat or ask the question myself, and then try to answer it.
