I notice there's been an improvement to the reasons for rejecting an edit suggestion: from "No improvement whatsoever" to "No improvement" with a far better description than the one preceding it. Yay!

Like three single edits to a word problem: "There are three pigs, two sheep, and a milk cow on a farm...", To "There are $3$ pigs, $2$ sheep, and $1$ milk cow on a farm...", and all sorts of edits, like changing two occurrences from $\le,$ and $\ge$ to $\leq$ and $\geq$....

I found this interesting on Math Overflow, on the voting page: "... . Please make your selections in order of preference, with the most desirable candidate as first choice. *You should only rank the candidates you think would make good moderators.*[Italics mine]. This may have been standard written for years, in the course of many sites' elections. But it raises a dilemma I've had one time in the past, when of the candidates running for moderator, ...
...only one position was available, and I could only manage to rank two, each very worthy of moderatorship, but could not bring myself to choose a third candidate, precisely because I did not think any other candidate would make a good mod. And yet there's been a tendency on this site to recommend using all votes. Any comments, @quid, @AlexanderGruber ?

I only ask this, and of course I mean you too, @Xander, because I've thought that past suggestions surrounding just that issue have resorted, ...then, for your third vote, pick the lesser of the evils, if you don't think any of the rest would make good mods. I prefer, as suggested now, "only rank those who you think would make good moderators." Or am I missing something here, all mods, any mods??
^^^Note, this question is not in anyway immediately relevant for math.se, right at this minute, so it needs no urgent response. Thanks for reading my comments here, for those who have patience to do so!! ;D

First comment in the block immediately has a typo: I typed resorted but I meant to type reported.

@amWhy The election procedure has changed recently. It is now possible to rank as many candidates as you like.

@XanderHenderson Thanks! I didn't know that.

@XanderHenderson Maybe you should switch masks, so you can wash the one you've been wearing for months and months! (But perhaps, unannounced to us, you switch to a fresh blue mask ever morning?) ;D
