(continued) 1. An extremely popular question which is now considered inappropriate for the site may be locked for "Historical Significance".... 2. A "wiki" is a question whose answers can be edited by low-reputation users.... 3. An official policy may sometimes be locked with a special, staff-only lock...." (continued)
(continued) I am puzzled as to which of these three exceptions applies to the question under discussion.
@Later You have repeatedly linked to your own chatroom, which you have named in a way which is likely to cause confusion (it has the appearance of an "official" room), in which you have posted your own version of a code of conduct.
@amWhy Actually I can't tell if it worked properly. I did get a circled orange (1) pop up and when I clicked it it highlighted your message. But the "@user21820" in the message itself wasn't highlighted orange unlike all the proper pings.
and naming a room "meta stack exchange" and linking its own coc into other rooms saying people "violated the code of conduct" is blatantly and intentionally misleading and I stand with the decision of whoever removed that message
@hyper-neutrino It actually does. The thing you linked is just a place for fun for a few people. People cannot talk about meta issues there freely. (I can show you much evidence confirming my claim, but I prefer not to do that.)
@Later Your opinion are good at your place. Your idea might be good or might be bad for community. But you must realise that though you have the ability of creating COC for your own room you should try to follow the real COC also. Remember a good user is one who follows the site rules even if he has to come out of comfort zone.
There are many users who know the answer of contextless question but don't answer them @Later because they want to preserve site rules even if it means to come out of their comfort zone. You can also once try to read the real COC and maybe try start following it
You must try to realise that why has he/she removed your message instead of giving him a sharp reply. This behaviour will definitely make you become a more respected user @Later. I am sure you can do it just read the COC and try to follow it. Try to know why someone deleted your message instead of cross replying to them. You can do it. Best of luck for future!
@Later If you have any more thing to say or ask you can ping me @Jitenda
