@XanderHenderson @quid: Who handles NAA (not-an-answer) flags? Twice now a wrong non-answer that I had flagged was marked as helpful but the post was still left there...
I keep forgetting how those idiosyncratic flag queues work, but I really do not understand how a helpful flag of a wrong non-answer can not result in deletion of said post.

@user21820 I don't typically handle NAA flags---my understanding is that an NAA flag sends the answer to the queue, at which point the community can decide what to do with it.

@XanderHenderson I see, but how does "helpful NAA flag" lead to nothing done at all?
I mean, if it is agreed to be NAA, why is it still there?
Is there some weird rule I have forgotten or never known?

@user21820 It is possible that another moderator cleared the flag manually, or that it went to the queue and was "disputed" (e.g. didn't get enough votes to be deleted).
I don't know how the flag would be resolved in that latter case.

@XanderHenderson Oh okay I'll just assume it's some weird 'feature' of SE.
And thanks for helping to fix it! =)

@user21820 There is a section called "The flag was marked helpful, but the answer wasn't deleted!" in the FAQ post: How do I properly use the “Not an Answer” flag?

@MartinSleziak Oh thanks! I always forget that there is this scary place called Meta SE.

I have to admit that I do not know much about the details of the flag handling. (When they marked helpful and other related things.)

Though even that long-winded sequence of cases still is incomplete, because the very last case did not explain what happens after it gets agreed on during review but passed on to the moderators.
