@ArturoMagidin sorry that this was not treated more rapidly. However, at the first intervention also the question was modified, thus I do not really see what you mean with "just come down on me" That said, your answer contained irrelvant and provocative things as does the question.
The simplest thing would have been to roll back to "my" version of the question. But possibly it was overlooked that this version exists.
@quid: I do not object to your removal of material in my prior answer. Given the users apparent particular hostility towards me I did not want to be the one to roll back or edit his question (and there was a lot of material added that was, while IMO utterly missing the point and misguided, still mathematical. So I wanted it to happen by someone by someone else’s hand, not mine, lest he continue to accuse me of nefarious ends. Thank you for cleaning it up.
