Would some of the moderators be willing to search for deleted:1 isaccepted:1 to see whether checkmark on accepted answer is removed on deletion or not?
This is related to a discussion in another chatroom. I have already got some answer on Meta Stack Exchange - still, some examples of the posts from this site (which 10k+ users could check for themselves) would be probably more convincing.
Of course, I could basically get the list of deleted questions from SEDE and go through them one by one to see whether I find a post with accepted answer - but that's rather cumbersome way to do this.
@AsafKaragila So I take this also as a confirmation that the accepted answer checkmark is still visible also if answer was deleted. (At least in those that you have found.)
The claim in the other chatroom was that the checkmark is removed on deletion.
I have to admit that 81 questions is much less that I expected. (Considering that there are many deleted questions.)
@AsafKaragila When I look at the original question (not the migrated one), i.e. the link with "noredirect=1" math.stackexchange.com/questions/74998/… I see the checkmark.
I don't know if there is something fishy, but another “FatsWallers” account has appeared: math.stackexchange.com/users/674646/fatswallers. If I remember correctly, there were two accounts with the same name (and similar questions about inequalities) which are deleted now.
@MartinSleziak the explanation should be that it's legacy behavior and in fact not the current behavior. I don't have a reference but the most recent of those 81 answers is from October 2012, so more than six years ago.
