I was thinking about the dynamical system on $S^{1}$-
$\dot{\theta}= \cos(\theta) + \mu$
Any help in drawing the phase portrait?
I was thinking about the fixed point of the system when $\mu = 0.5$
like solving for $\cos(\theta) + 0.5 = \theta$
Also I am not getting why there must be a perio...
@AloizioMacedo and @quid it took me rather long time (I talked to both of you about this in August), but finally I got around to posting at least some very basic FAQ post about searching on meta: math.meta.stackexchange.com/questions/29265/… Let's hopoe some user will help to improve it - there is certainly a lot of space for improvement.
