@AsafKaragila As you know very well, having a lot of reputation is in no way equivalent to having discernment.

@Asaf and @J.M. You have both posted a comment on my question
What to do in case of unsuccessful duplicate close vote (or flag)?
. Both comments were along the lines that a separate thread for (duplicate) close votes might be a reasonable solution.
If you still think so, would perhaps one of you post that as an answer? So that we can get some feedback on this idea from other users.
(I have pinged you here rather then on meta, since there I can only ping one user in one comment. And also in this way, there is less noise on meta.)

Probably the above would be more suitable for c.r.u.d.e. But this was the room where I could ping both J.M. and Asaf.

@J.M. I wanted to make a nice joke about having an unsound judgment regarding your assertion. But my mind is too busy patching up some mathematical argument. :(
@MartinSleziak Done.

@AsafKaragila It seems that it is sometimes possible to
bypass registration requirement
. But personally I would avoid academia.edu links.
Perhaps I would clarify this a bit. I would not object to academia.edu link
in addition
to standard links (doi, jstor, arxiv, ...)
