@arjafi: If the moderators do not think Doug's irritating comments should be removed, from now on I will respond with a fixed comment linking to meta.math.stackexchange.com/questions/2831/troll-or-skeptic/…. I will carry it out in a few days' time uniformly for all comments from him to me that are totally wrong, unless I see them removed. And I will not compromise, because I do not want anyone to get the wrong impression that Doug is correct just because nobody else corrects him.
If anyone has a good reason why I should not do what I propose, now is the time to speak up. I am sick and tired of such nonsense and if his useless comments are not considered spam then mine is perfectly fine, as I will bring attention straight to the meta issue.
The comments I am referring to are listed starting from chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/message/32771332#32771332

@user21820 I can't say I don't sympathize with you, but I think you went a little over the top in your post above. The meta post you link to above resulted in no consensus about DS...
And I'm concerned that your concern seems only to be "I do not want anyone to get the wrong impression that Doug is correct" if he goes uncorrected.
You need to trust in your expressed answers; if you know you are correct, you shouldn't feel challenged by a crank/troll/philosopher, whose comments are hardly understandable, and even much less understood by any OP to whom you are answering. And trying to alienate the powers that be with threats of action is not the way to gain allies.
As I said before, the best response is to ignore him; perhaps simply ask him to express his own thoughts in a separate answer, if he challenges your answer. Each and every time you let him upset you feeds his behavior.
What I keep hearing in your complaints against him is your fear that he might somehow manage to take votes away from your answer. Even if he does, those are votes not worth having in the first place; ultimately, you need simply to be confident enough in your answers so that the mere presence of a comment from Doug doesn't shake you to the core.
