It's an unfortunate phenomenon with cranks.. they frequently get the last word and the vast majority of mathematically untrained laymen get misled. Even though it is also partly their fault for just believing whoever seems to have 'won' the argument, it is this same laymen who are running the countries, in general. Ever heard of the Indiana Pi bill?
@MartinSleziak One can't get such stuff from SEDE. One needs database access for that, and waffles used to be a dev for Stack Exchange, so he had database access.
@DanielFischer Thanks, I did nót know that. When I looked at his post now, I saw no diamonds. So I assumed that the post was done by a regular user. (Of course, as you rightly pointed out, this does not say anything about his statust in the past.)
