5:00 PM
@DanielFischer Are you around? Is there a way to speak with you privately? Don
Don't worry, I won't be speaking volumes; just want to relay a concern of mine, and I'm quite sure is of concern to the math mods.
@DanielFischer It concerns three upvotes I received earlier this day, on three separate posts, all of which occurred in 5 minutes (now: 5 hours ago). Should I flag one, or all three, or what?
@DanielFischer Could you please delete my last two comments to you once you've read them? (I'll extend the invitation to any mse-diamond to read/consider, etc my comments above, and once received, to delete them?
@DanielFischer On second thought, don't delete my comments to you in the last hour, nor any other moderator. I want a record of this communications to make sure I have digital footprints to counter any future mod-allegations.

5:46 PM
What seems to be the problem?
Three upvotes in a row?

I was hoping to get the attention of an MSE mod. You don't know the history of the upvoting history, so, having declined the flag, @Nathan, you can go away.

I didn't decline the flag.

Alright mse "diamonds," I'm done. I said what I'm obliged to say, even more than I'm obliged to share. It's in your hands now. adios.

@amWhy, I declined your flag. A chat flag is not the appropriate way to get a moderator's attention. Especially when you had just pinged a mod. They will get your chat message eventually.

@Andy, Understood.
Unfortunately, You don't know the history re upvotes.

5:56 PM
You are correct, I do not. However, pinging a mod and then raising a chat flag, that all network moderators can see, asking for an answer in chat is not the right course of action to take.
Let the moderator you pinged get back to you.
Escalating this to network mods isn't going to help you. It's going to generate noise.
If your question is whether to raise one flag or three...pick one. It doesn't matter that much. But, be explicit in your flags and explain the situation.

@amWhy I was having dinner, let me take a look.

I'll leave this to you then @DanielFischer. Enjoy the rest of the evening.

@Andy First of all, I did not intend to get anyone involved other than than math-mods. I apologize for being wrong. Thank you.

@amWhy I understand. For future reference, a moderator chat flag goes to all network mods.

@DanielFischer Dinner??? Is that what we're paying you for? Dinners?

6:06 PM
@AsafKaragila Unfortunately no. What you're paying isn't enough for my dinners.

@DanielFischer That makes sense. Because I don't recall paying you at all, and dinners usually end up costing money.

You're all making me hungry!

I just had some mild dinner.

So I'm good.

6:14 PM
@Asaf What makes you think that you're good?

@amWhy Okay, that looks a bit like a little serial voting, but I wouldn't be overly concerned. Either the script reverts the votes or it doesn't. No need to flag those, but if it repeats, a flag would be appreciated so we can let somebody look whether it's cause for concern.

@amWhy Well, since "good" and "evil" are relative anyway, it all depends on what your point of view is at the time of reading.

Okay, thanks @DanielFischer I even suspect I know the source; it's hard to connect to him, but I'll try this weekend, thank him, but encourage him not to support me through votes. He's one of the kindest, humblest people I know; it's just been hard to convince him to come to chat, or even email me, instead. I'll be sure to keep an eye on the voting!
@Asaf I'll have to think hard on that.

@amWhy That would be a good idea.

@AsafKaragila Actually, it is really amazing to have experienced the "uptake" of the replacement of "you're welcome". with "no problem." and the uptake of "I'm good." I only realized those expressions are relatively recent, given some of the responses I get from those older than me when I'm thanked for something, and I respond "no problem." Or when they offer me this or that, and I respond with "thankyou, but I'm good".

6:27 PM
@amWhy Thanks, but I'm good.
:D

@AsafKaragila :-P
