1) "sometimes random crashing the whole system. But that's the least of my concerns", as a "Software Engineer", this should be a main concern. 2) "f.size() is 310831", read [ESP32 DRAM memory allocation]( docs.espressif.com/projects/esp-idf/en/latest/esp32/…) to understand how much memory in total available on ESP32. 3) The do...loopwith String concatenation is basically allocating more heap on each loop and causing heap fragmentation. Even you can make your code works, but it will not be stable and will crash at some point of time... — hcheung 47 secs ago

Hi 👋. StackOverflow just isn't the forum this kind of "can you suggest some software?" question. Please take this question over to softwarerecs.stackexchange.com and I can offer some suggestions. Cheers! — Zach Young 36 secs ago

Industrial coding honors the fact that most of the cost of a line of code is incurred after it's written: time to read it and fix bugs created when it's not read correctly. There's a body of software engineering research that looks for correlations between code style and cost. Those results are translated to rules like the ones you've cited, though the translation isn't always scientific. These do seem on the strict side. Shops I've worked in allow variations if a reviewer agrees they're justified. Yet, causing you to learn to color within the lines makes basic sense for a boot camp. — Gene 15 secs ago

@rici It's a bona fide question because it's about the software engineering research rationale for industrial practice, which is dollar-based, not a matter of opinion. — Gene 36 secs ago

@Gene - this question is indeed related to software engineering, but... it's off-topic here: it's not a programming question - it's an opinion-based / discussion question. The comments themselves are already turning into a discussion (which goes against what comments are for in the first place). This is a far better fit on general discussion sites like reddit. — David Makogon 38 secs ago

Im a beginner -- If you're a beginner, why are you trying to write programs that are not for a beginner? It looks like you got this question from one of those "competitive coding" websites. If you did, the questions on those sites are geared for experienced programmers who want to solve random puzzle questions, and not beginner coders. — PaulMcKenzie 51 secs ago

Given that the code is workable, probably the question for softwareengineering.stackexchange.com . It looks ok. AbstractQuestion looks useless abstraction in its current state, maybe it's justified if there's a need for more common code — Estus Flask 1 min ago

A friendly advice: If you improve your spacing and indentation you code would be a lot easier to read. For more (boring) information see: PSR-12. Note that this is especially important when you communicate with other programmers about your code. — KIKO Software 34 secs ago

Anyone coming from an enterprise programming world would not argue that DI should not be used. This is definitely not a best practice, in contrast this is unmaintainable. Any serious server project with more than 5 files would result in manually written wiring code. Using something like Googles Wire makes it much easier. A simple language should not have the goal to stick to a novice level of programmers. — k_o_ 30 secs ago

FYI generally Python programmers, in contrast to Microsoft Win32 programmers, do not decorate their variable names with the variable's type. So, for example resultdictionary would typically be result. — jarmod 49 secs ago

I'd recommend against setting up anything that automatically assigns the names, because mutable global state can make your program unpredictable, though if this is only for interactive use, it might not be so bad, i.e. if you accidentally overwrite/shadow another variable, you could fix it. — wjandrea 33 secs ago

Did you read the page ConEmu.exe command line switches carefully and completely from top to bottom? Did you follow the link to page Command line switches -new_console and -cur_console explaining what -new_console means and what the switch c of option -new_console. StackOverflow is for picky boring technical issues, like the exact syntax of something or how to get within 3 ULPs with your trigonometric floating point apprxoimations. Overarching "what's a good work flow" questions turn out to attract opinions and argumentation that has no clear technical answer, so these are off topic - you want softwareengineering.stackoverflow.com here, I think. — torek 26 secs ago

With the user name "Python lover", your code really suggests otherwise. Show Python (and programmers in general) some love by removing the insane amount amount of vertical whitespace in this program so that it's at least readable. — paddy 1 min ago
