What "mistake" are you seeing? Remember that Stack Overflow is where programmers can come for help with their problems. Expect the questions to have mistakes. If all the code samples were perfect, what would be the point of this website? — Jacob Lee 24 secs ago

That is some high-brow math indeed. The folks over in the math stackexchange should be better suited for this task. But if you're willing to bear with us programmers and dumb the problem down some more, I think we'd be able to work something out :^) From what I've gathered, your function needs very large i to approximate tau; so you'd need tail-recursive functions at the very least. Unfortunately, MATLAB doesn't seem to support tail-recursion, so you'd likely have to make this an iterative function if you want MATLAB. — mimocha 46 secs ago

Note also that your code doesn't use the typical naming conventions. Earmuffs (asterisks around the name: *foo*) should only be used for special variables (i.e. ones defined with defparameter or defvar), not function names. Lisp programmers also use dashes instead of camel/snake case (*NextRoom* -> next-room, *dice_combat* -> dice-combat). Even if you for some reason decide to deviate from that, you should at least pick just one convention to use. — jkiiski 36 secs ago

That is not a question related to code written on which you need the help of other programmers to get it working. For that reason the question is clearly off-topic for Stack Overflow and should be deleted by you as soon as possible. Right click on svchost.exe in C:\Windows\System32 and click in opened context menu on Properties. You see as description for this executable: Host Process for Windows Services. So this executable is responsible for starting and running Windows services. — Mofi 57 secs ago

We will help you resolve problems in an honest attempt to code a solution to the task, but we won't simply write the code for you. A string literal is supposed to read only (depending on the architecture) so returning it via a non-const pointer means that the caller may write to it, which is undefined behavior: softwareengineering.stackexchange.com/questions/294748/…Devolus 25 secs ago

sorry, but SO isnt the place to ask others to write code for you. I wouldnt do that even if we met in real. I would ask you to write the code and ask questions when you got stuck. What this exercise is trying to teach you is how you can manage to come up with a solution. Once you have a solution (written by someone else), the exercise is useless and you can turn to the next one. Don't get me wrong, but we don't need another implementation of a Triangle, but we need programmers that know how to write one. — largest_prime_is_463035818 32 secs ago

This is a very broad question with no "one answer"... As programmers, we are always in a balancing game. The "ideal" solution is always dependant on context. Having said that, the first patterns that come to mind for me that you might want to study for "managing structural complexity" are Builder, Bridge, and maybe Prototype. I recommend sourcemaking.com/design_patterns, as they do a good job of providing meaningful examples. On another note, IDevice seems too "wide" to me. Are these devices doing exactly the same thing? Can the interface be broken down further? — Alexandru Clonțea just now

@flywell If you know the type of the response, put it in your method signature. It will provide compiler checking that you're returning what you expect, and it will help future programmers (you) understand the expected behavior of the controller. — chrylis -cautiouslyoptimistic- 28 secs ago
