1) For better help sooner, edit to add a minimal reproducible example or Short, Self Contained, Correct Example. 2) Why code an applet? If it is due to the teacher specifying it, please refer them to Why CS teachers should stop teaching Java applets. 3) Why use AWT? See this answer for many good reasons to abandon AWT components in favor of Swing. — Andrew Thompson 31 secs ago

Greetings and Welcome to Stack Overflow! This is a community dedicated to programming related topics. Kindly read: [What topics can I ask about here?] (stackoverflow.com/help/on-topic). For recommendations on technologies or architectures visit [software recommendations] (softwarerecs.stackexchange.com). Have a good day! — Saud 17 secs ago

Stack Overflow is not an appropriate forum for broad architectural questions like this. You may find the Software Engineering or Code Review sites on the Stack Exchange network more accommodating. That said, a method should only need parameters passed that it needs for its work. If you are finding yourself passing a lot of parameters on a regular basis, your design is flawed. There are countless alternatives to the approach you describe above, many of which much more in keeping with general OOP principles, and which lead to easier-to-write, easier-to-maintain code. — Peter Duniho 44 secs ago

Oh, i see. As I am not aware of these topics, I was mistake with my assessment , i suppose. As for tagging only windows - that is the right thing to do. Most C programmers won't be aware of this , and this is a developed only type of site in terms of content , so you would be fine with windows and related tags. — An Ant 16 secs ago

Your question is off-topic for Stack Overflow because it is just an assignment without showing any research of implementation effort. Edit your question and show what you have tried to keep it from getting put on hold. Please take a look at Open letter to students with homework problems. — John Conde 18 secs ago

Questions such as "What would be the best way to do this? Sample snippets would be helpful. I am new to pandas." are typically too broad and are not a good fit for this site. People have their own method for approaching the problem and because of this there cannot be a correct answer. Give a good read over Where to Start, and Minimal Reproducible Example then edit your post. — itprorh66 35 secs ago

Please provide a complete minimal reproducible example so anyone else can verify the problem. There is no reason to think that a different function would be needed. It is just as likely that you made an error but we can't tell. Also asking for software recommendations is regarded as opinion based and so is regarded as off topic. — G. Grothendieck 13 secs ago

Welcome to Stack Overflow. Please read Open Letter to Students with Homework Problems. You can't just dump your problem statement here and expect us to do it for you. It's also a good idea to take the tour, read about what's on-topic in the help center, and How to Ask. — Chris 14 secs ago

We cannot access method method2 because it is only defined in B, not in A, and the reference (a) is of type A. Thus, we can only access methods and fields defined in A. --- As an aside: There are no pointers (exposed to programmers) in Java. — Turing85 41 secs ago
