@Dai Sorry, I am probably not being very clear. It is my understanding that type-guard functions are functions that are manually created by programmers in order to narrow down the object type of an incoming variable. However, I don't want to manually create any code. Instead, if I use the popular "class-transformer" library, then I can simply feed it a class constructor, it learns the schema from that, and passes me back sound data. — James 7 secs ago

Probably the question for softwareengineering.stackexchange.com , it's too unspecific for SO. Data could be hosted on a server and fetched to env variables before build with a script. Data could be fetched from API inside the app, which is the most common way to do this. "But it seems it is not possible to use variable inside import statement" - this is what dynamic import and require are for, make sure that files from other envs aren't included to a bundle. "Any other caveats for this solution?" - there's no dev/prod distinction this way. — Estus Flask 47 secs ago

Welcome to Stack Overflow. Please take the tour to learn how Stack Overflow works and read How to Ask on how to improve the quality of your question. Please see: Why is “Is it possible to…” a poorly worded question? (don't just change your question to "How"). Please show your attempts you have tried and the problems/error messages you get from your attempts. It is unclear what you are asking or what the problem is. If possible, add a minimal reproducible example to your question. — Progman 40 secs ago

@dai: And C# also special-cases non-generic collections, providing a way to do type-safe enumeration even though the non-generic IEnumerator methods only work with objects. That was implemented back in the v1.0 and v1.1 days (before generics were introduced in v2.0) so that programmers didn't have to sprinkle casts into foreach loops — Flydog57 49 secs ago

Note: new is not required to make an object in C++ and the general recommendation is to use new as little as possible because it is a lot trickier to use correctly than it looks. MyQueue <int> q; will provide an automatically allocated (and thus automatically deleted at the end of the current scope) MyQueue and step around the problem highlighted by Cody Gray. — user4581301 26 secs ago

Thanks bro! And you can't tell me how to sort the table according to a certain algorithm. More precisely, the Title column. Java does not have tail call optimization. Hence, almost every recursion is bound to produce a StackOverFlowError if the input(s) is (are) large enough. The only way to prevent this problem would be to transform the recursion in a (sufficiently effective) iteration. — Turing85 28 secs ago
