There's at least a handful of plugins that allow this. I believe Stylus for Firefox is a popular one. FWIW, this is perhaps a better request for softwarerecs.stackexchange.com and probably does not meet the guidelines for a SO question. Good luck! — Alexander Nied 42 secs ago

@Marco13 The char type, as I said, really is flawed and obsolete. Working with code point integers is the correct way to handle characters in modern Java. I wrote this code using arrays rather than collections to keep the code simple and close to the code as seen in the Question. Teaching new programmers to expect only American English and ASCII text is irresponsible in the modern world of information systems. I wrote exactly the Answer I would have wanted to find if I were new to programming and writing that Question. — Basil Bourque 21 secs ago

Honestly, micro-optimizations aren't worth it. It may leak some memory, but it won't cause too much of a performance impact in the long run. If you really wanted maximum performance, you could use a Promise library like Bluebird. See softwareengineering.stackexchange.com/questions/278778/…101arrowz 48 secs ago

(+1) Nice explanation. stata.com/manuals/u18.pdf is indispensable reading for Stata programmers. The manuals are also bundled with your Stata installation on your machine as pdf documentation. — Nick Cox 53 secs ago

@user2146414 Yes, there is only one Add method in IL. Learn more here. That said, dynamic should be used sparingly. My example was only meant to show you what overload resolution at runtime looks like. I'm not sure whether this is an appropriate use of dynamic without know more of your situation. I suggest you read this first. — Sweeper 1 min ago

I don't see why the code should not compile. The variance does not matter for a cast. If the types are reference types you can cast them as you please. The compiler might warn you about an unchecked cast but that is the programmers problem not the compilers. — Jannik 35 secs ago
