Note that in general, questions about architecture are more topical at Software Engineering than here; Stack Overflow is more focused on specific, narrow, tactical issues. — Charles Duffy 1 min ago

Also, while you have used !feol(fileIn) correctly, it is better to use while (fgets(buffer, 1000, fileIn)) { ... } to control your read loop. (always control you read loop with the read function used) Too often new C programmers fall into the trap of Why is while ( !feof (file) ) always wrong?David C. Rankin 56 secs ago

Although your edit did improve your question, I'm not sure it is a good fit for SO. Perhaps review similar questions on softwareengineering.stackexchange.com and consider asking an improved version of your question there if it seems appropriate. — skomisa 1 min ago

Are you able to turn that into a self contained class with a main() method and necessary variables and data, so the code can be run by others, and still get the error? Then it'll be perfect. It's not expected that you would know why this error occurs, and many Java programmers wouldn't understand it. It involves very low level mechanisms that not all people are familiar with. I'm just doing the groundwork (getting the simplest program that exhibits the bug) until someone smarter than me gets here. — Kayaman 26 secs ago

It's up to you. I think most programmers prefer your first method because it is shorter, 2 lines. I myself would make it even shorter print(f'{3}\n\n{4}'). — Mace 5 secs ago

@supercat: This is interesting. I had assumed the standard was an attempt at something analogous to an API for how source code controls the computer (via compilation and then execution), defining a standardized meeting point that compiler writers and programmers could rely on. For example, when programming embedded systems, I had assumed I can rely on "volatile" because of the standard, but your comment makes me think I am relying more on a historical understanding shared with the compiler writers, an understanding that the standard has not even tried to capture very clearly. — Matt 38 secs ago

@FedericoklezCulloca Yeah sure. This is the only line in my code where I explicitly refer to the Scanner class. I mean yeah ofc most of the programmers use it only once in a class. — Project Zero 44 secs ago

What have you tried? You should not expect someone to do the work for you. The Stack Overflow mission is: Stack Overflow is a question and answer site for professional and enthusiast programmers. It's built and run by you as part of the Stack Exchange network of Q&A sites. With your help, we're working together to build a library of detailed answers to every question about programming. It is not a code writing service. — Rob Moll 41 secs ago

@SoftwareEngineer Well to simply display the xml in the console I suggest SaxParser, but to actually parse information from an xml document, if you know the structure of the document, and to continue to work with the parsed data, I find that Jaxb is a very fitting option. — DW-j 36 secs ago

@Eljay I have a not really settled or answered question over there about a related question: softwareengineering.stackexchange.com/questions/407056/… BTW: it seems that, as this question will need an opinion-based answer, Softwareengineering.Stackexchange would be better suited for this question also. — Vroomfondel 27 secs ago
