Have a look at Default constructors and Copy constructors and Member initialization. And no, the technical nature the material is presented in isn't always the easiest for new programmers to digest (don't worry, it gets easier). For your last point (no pun intended), Point p1; declares an instance of class Point, while Point pi(); creates a function. — David C. Rankin 10 secs ago

@NicolBolas things might be a pro in one case and a con in another. And still this is a technical and not opinion based question, though not a yes/no one. It deals with a choice programmers would actually face. Analyzing the pros and cons for different use cases can surely assist in getting the proper choice per each case. — Amir Kirsh 35 secs ago

It is a question for one of my software engineering classes, where recursion is a requirement for the function, and the parameter must be the unsigned int. — coder19 41 secs ago

Pure javascript or Java is preferred - two completely different languages used for completely different reasons - One is essentially a toy, designed for writing small pieces of code, and traditionally used and abused by inexperienced programmers. The other is a scripting language for web browsers. — Jaromanda X 52 secs ago

You have an error of software engineering here. Does it makes sense for either the Stage or the Channel to own the director? Can a channel exist without its director? Can a director exist without its channel? What should happen to a channel if its director is removed from the director container? Take a moment to draw out what these relationships should be and that might help inform the design better. — John 44 secs ago

I can't find it (you probably deleted it), but I'm pretty sure you asked the exact same question here a few weeks ago (and you also posted it on the software engineering stack as I recommended). Are you still not satisfied with all the answers/comments you received? — Jeto 48 secs ago

@Jeto Here softwareengineering.stackexchange.com/q/404221/106313 I didn't receive any answer and it got automatically deleted. I thought may be here I could get better explanation. — user31782 47 secs ago

you should tell mentor programmers to get off their lazy a##es, and add the "handle" keyword to systemverilog parser instead of overloading the keyword "virtual"...and make it apply to both interfaces and modules,,,, just my opinion anyways... — pico 41 secs ago

I've seen this tried in a CERN experiment with >1000 physicists as the users who needed to write config files. I thought it was a disaster - people who had no interest in learning python suddenly had to deal with error messages aimed at programmers. Even if the user happened to be a python programmer, these errors were cryptic because deciphering what went wrong usually required familiarity with the classes being initialized and these were varied and complex. — Amnon Harel 35 secs ago

Mongoose and other "friendly" frameworks helps programmers write legible code and simplify MongoDB syntax. However, they are designed to be used "simple" or "bit complex" queries, but if you need to run complex MongoDB aggregation pipeline, it cannot be done by Mongoose framework. — Valijon 35 secs ago
