This site is for specific questions related to programming or use of programmers tools. There's nothing specific about I am grateful for any help or feedback you can give me that I can see. You may want to revisit the help center pages. — Ken White 11 secs ago

Please read this open letter to students with homework problems. In short, we are not here to help you cheat on your work. It is assigned to you because it will help you develop skills that you need to succeed in your program of study. Frankly, it's insulting to instructors and TAs like myself that put in hours of work during a global pandemic disrupting everything and requiring remote learning and other measures to see students like you just blatantly cheat. — nanofarad 5 secs ago

It does slightly but this seems to be excessive since I know it works in the directory before the current directory. Not sure if this is a bug or if they intended for programmers to use import os. I would like to keep my lines of code minimized and if this is how I have to organize my code then I will just keep it with the directory in the way I currently have it, Might look into another IDE to see if I can replicate this behavior. — Kristofor Krash Lockhart 26 secs ago

Recommendation: Don't use new until you're forced to. Why should C++ programmers minimize use of 'new'?user4581301 12 secs ago

I think there are other places you can get better feedback on this: reddit, other stackexchange site, etc... Nevertheless, if you are exploring haskell, go the simplest as possible. I'd recommend using rectangles and Gloss framework. — lsmor 43 secs ago

Ok, I'm pretty sure your over thinking this. This all smells of premature optimisation. Does it work? Have you experienced any "inefficencies" that effect your end user experience. If the answer is no, move on — Liam 38 secs ago

Linux is often offtopic here. There is unix.stackexchange.com (a sister site) for Linux questions. This site is about programming (and Linux command used for programmers, e.g. testing, installation, etc.). iconv + od should be able to do the task — Giacomo Catenazzi 1 min ago

Welcome to Stack Overflow. Congratulations on your first post. SO is for asking questions about: a specific programming problem, a software algorithm, or software tool commonly used by programmers. It should be a practical, answerable problem that is unique to software development. Your question is better suited to direct to Evernote technical support. — DaveL17 17 secs ago

It's probably because this approach can cause unexpected change in the data since ANY part of the app can change it. Have a look at Why is Global State so Evil? for more details. — usafder 39 secs ago

Yes, but in the other site is more useful. Do not assume that programmers never go in superuser, unix, security, serverfault, etc. We use all sites for relevant informations. — Giacomo Catenazzi 23 secs ago

thanks. that is helpful. as a beginner, I find this site useful, but really don't understand why so many programmers are so negative when people ask for help. your comments were great, but it didn't take people long to downvote this, which doesn't help me learn anything. — hiker 22 secs ago
