Not an answer as such, but I just want to inform you of this: The Windows Installer PowerShell Module on github.com (scroll down for description, use releases tab for download or read instructions). I haven't really tested it much, but it is from Heath Stewart - Microsoft Senior Software Engineer (github). — Stein Åsmul 8 secs ago

This is clearly spam and exists only to promote the "programmersbhawa" wesbsite. In addition it is poorly written, terribly formatted, and barely attempts to answer the question at all. — Max von Hippel 9 secs ago

There are lots of coding programs, editors, IDEs, etc. to help find syntax issues -- the best place to ask about those is probably Software Recommendations Stack Exchange. — jkdev 21 secs ago

"That code is a weird mix of C++ and pointlessly-low-level/opaque code." There is an important lesson in there, @RakeshKarandikar . Online judges rarely reward for code that passes a code review, but good code is what get you hired and keeps you hired. Learn what you can from competition sites, but also read up on and practice good software engineering. — user4581301 21 secs ago

@AlexF Your comments are doing a great job of answering the question. Could I ask you to consider consolidating them into an answer. This is worthy of keeping around, since the whole CreateFile / CreateFileA / CreateFileW / L"String" / "String" / _T("String") issue can be a little confusing to novice programmers. — dgnuff 1 min ago

I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because: "3. Questions asking for homework help must include a summary of the work you've done so far to solve the problem, and a description of the difficulty you are having solving it.". Current state of your question doesn't fulfill these requirements. Use edit option to improve it. Also read this Open letter to students with homework problemsPshemo 25 secs ago

Can you provide a Minimal, Complete, and Verifiable example? It's hard to help you if all you provide is 188 lines of code and zero to no comments or documentation to help someone who would like to answer your question. If this is too much effort for you to put in, feel free to read this open letter to students with homework problemsBlkPengu 35 secs ago

There are two sources of computation error when working with floating point numbers. One is the base conversion, values in decimal with an exact representation in base 10 (like 0.1) don't have one in base 2. Decimal solves that one. The other is a calculation requiring an infinite number of digits to represent the exact result. a / b here. Decimal does not solve that one. The Windows calculator program uses a lot of tricks to avoid disappointing non-programmers, a job that is never done. Use BigRational. — Hans Passant 1 min ago

@PriyankaDembla: please try to avoid "doesn't work" as a response to someone here - it is one of the most unhelpful failure reports within the whole field of software engineering. Try to be as expansive as you can, and be aware that if you are seeking a new idea, you need to provide new (and detailed) information. — halfer 7 secs ago

Welcome to Stack Overflow! Here, programmers attempt to write their own code/formulas and then share issues with a specific problem after trying to solve it on their own. If, after doing more research, you have a specific problem, please edit your post to share examples of your code and relevant data and some background info. Some good reading to get you started: "How to Ask" as well as tips here and here. — ashleedawg 54 secs ago
