@ArturMeinild Hoping for a resolution soon....

@ArturMeinild That's because you've not set up things correctly. I have SickChill that automagically fetches torrents for me
You just have to automate pirating, and it's even less hassle than streaming, as you don't have to care about which streaming service to use

@vidarlo Looks pretty cool :)
It works very well :P
Probably not quite the tool for ebooks which is my main interest at the moment :)
No, that's correct.
@vidarlo What caught my attention in part was that SickChill also uses a Usenet feed
yes
I use that as well
90% usenet, 10% torrents

I have mixed feelings about binary land on Usenet to the extent that I selected an NNTP provider many years ago that does not hold binaries
But that is the way Usenet is hese days :(

Every year lately I wonder if I should repay my Usenet subscription and so far every year I still have. It is only 10 EUR per year and I am still not ready to let it go...
hehe
yes, not much activity there anymore
My old friend news.software.readers still has some sporadic activity but all of the HTML groups are gone
alt.os.linux.ubuntu still putters along...
I learnt HTML and CSS on Usenet and it is a little sad that wordpress and friends has swept a lot of that away

Yep, it's a different world. From static pages to automation.
@vidarlo Yeah I know there are tools. But you still have to maintain a media library of some sort, and I don't care about that atm..
Also, it's rare that I need to watch something that's not already on a platform I have, so it would still be too much effort for little effect
hehe, yeah
I have a RPi4 with 4 USB disks for ~16TB of storage :)
Works like a charm and provides quite good throughput
