Q: Are new users properly introduced to the site when signing up?

Artur MeinildIs it only me, or has there been a massive influx of new users this year, who seemingly haven't understood what differentiates a SE Q&A site from a forum? This leads me to think if the mandatory introduction given to new users are good enough, since a lot of new users don't really seem to underst...

Ubuntu Pro, the expanded security maintenance and compliance subscription, is now offered in public beta for data centres and workstations. Canonical will provide a free tier for personal and small-scale commercial use in line with the company’s community commitment and mission to make open source more easily consumable by everyone.

Hi. I am here for the first time. Maybe this is a better way to get help than posting a question. let's see. I am about to reinstall Ubuntu. How many partitions do I need. Do I really need more than one? Why would I want more than one partition

@MichaelLevy Hi Michael! That is a question that has been argued over forever (almost!). My own personal usage has been for the past 10 years+ to have a smaller partition for swap and a bigger one for everything else. But I have been howled down for this before :)
