In the middle of the installation process for the Ubuntu, there is a hiccup with the disk space allocation. I want to install Ubuntu on my HDD and I have freed up 200 GB of space for the same. But in the "Installation type" window I am not able to see the free space. The HDD disk had an address of /dev/sda/ and in front of it shows its total space (1 TB). What can I do?

Have you tried manual partitioning with the "Something else" option in the "Installation type" screen of the Ubuntu installer?
