I see a lot of questions where it says it has been edited but I do not see what was changed. Do some people just hunt for rep by making small edits?

@David most people who edit a lot don't get any reputation for doing it. Once you reach 2k reputation your edits get applied immediately and you don't gain any reputation for making them. You are also allowed to review edit suggestions

I make many minor edits (and also many major edits haha)

also, one can only gain up to 1000 reputation from making edits (though if a post one has edited is deleted, one loses the reputation gained from successfully suggesting an edit to it, and can gain those points again by successfully suggesting another edit)
