Hi guys, how i can change the kernel manually when i make a live usb
i need to change the kernel to older version
i try change the kernel from live folder but after booting the mouse and keyboard is not working why ? is there any files i need to change it too to make mouse and keyboard work ?
@guiverc, I just installed Kubuntu 19.10 choosing the minimal software option in a VM. Have you tried having both Kubuntu 19.10 and Lubuntu 19.10 on the same system?
@DKBose at this early point no issues... sddm showed a virtual keyboard at login screen I'm not familiar with; but lubuntu looks & reacts normally. Kubuntu feels just like it did earlier today in QA-test (different box; I did have trouble adjusting displays to match my setup, but I'll blame me for now..) it's preliminary but first indications are no issues..
@guiverc, I too got the virtual keyboard after installing lubuntu-desktop, and rebooting. It appeared before I could choose to log into the lubuntu-desktop. It doesn't appear with the original Kubuntu 19.10 system.
@DKBose it wasn't a problem for me as appeared only on one screen (virtual keyboard) ; I changed theme (in plasma/kubuntu) & it's gone from my login screen now. no issues at all, and tons of play in plasma (the setup will be hard to wipe, I've got it almost perfect! but it'll go...)
I have no idea either, but i'm not fussed. If it were on my x86 tablet it'd be a good thing! In the coming days, my primary desktop may be loosing it's mate desktop, and gaining kubuntu :)
(primary currently has gnome, Lubuntu (LXDE & LXQt), XFCE & MATE)
@guiverc I went into the clone with Lubuntu again and pressed the "down" arrow at the bottom right corner of the virtual keyboard to make it go away and to get the regular Lubuntu (LXQt) login screen. Thanks for looking into this!
Hey @JourneymanGeek!!! Just out of curiosity, I remember you and Monica were mods on MSE. But now I can't see a diamond beside your name. Did you people step down as a mod or is it a bug?
I have a dual boot system with 2 versions (derivatives) of Ubuntu installed (Linux Mint 17.3 KDE and Kubuntu 18.04).
In order to keep the LM install in control of the GRUB boot manager updates (because it is my primary OS), I installed Kubuntu telling it not to install the boot manager (using ub...

@Videonauth Well, I've seen it happen and if everything goes well, there are only a few drops of water coming out, but if they fall on the wrong spot it's a disaster, so that's why we're getting buckets, tarpaulin, reversed umbrella's in...
