Q: Should tags be edited out from a question if they appear irrelevant?

DK BoseSee Off Wi-Fi LED in Ubuntu for an example: While it's ideally better to ask posters if, in this case, lubuntu and syslinux are indeed relevant to the question, suppose posters doesn't respond or, even worse, come back? If there's no clarity from posters, and other Ask Ubuntu users don't take...

Happy 2000 answers to me ! <.< . . . .>.> . . . .
Here's to many more, double that amount maybe !
Coming to think of it, that's a lot of writing. I may have written a book or two in the process
@SergiyKolodyazhnyy congratulations!
:D Thanks
I often think I should be more productive, answer more
Though maybe it's actually sufficiently good, considering the numbers
And now at exactly 74,003. Good day.

:D
Now that's Pythonic
I had to check how many I made though :D
so roughly 37 points per answer @SergiyKolodyazhnyy :+)
I am on 63 so you got room for improvement ;)
or answer more manual related questions :X
That's pretty accurate. On average my answers get about 3-5 upvotes, unless it blows up into hot-network-question which leads to answers getting anywhere from 10 to 20 ish upvotes
@Rinzwind Hmmmm, maybe I should follow the man tag or something :D
nope. people never use the man tag when asking man tag related questions Otherwise they'd use the man command :Z
XD
Actually, I used to follow a lot of tags, but I've cleaned that up
There's a few topics I want to actively pursue, like networking
10:13
I still need to work on scripts tag. It's been progressing . . . so . . . so . . .slowly
10:43
not a much used one on AU I assume. Often a SO q.

I need one more close vote from a reviewer to close this question: askubuntu.com/questions/655555/dpkg-query-vs-apt-cache before it is closed in the reverse direction as a duplicate question the other way.
13:27
@karel Which one do you want to be the duplicate and which one should remain open? And why?
And what's the relationship between dpkg -l and dpkq-query. Isn't dpkg-query a separate program? Or is it just an alias for dpkg -l?
dpkg -l: list only installed and dpkq-query: listinstalled and not installed.
13:47
Distinction between apt-cache and dpkg -l should remain open. Someone was trying to close it as a duplicate of dpkg-query vs apt-cache because it's an older question I guess.
14:07
@karel But are they really duplicates? If dpkg-query != dpkg -l, why are they dupes?
14:24
@terdon Sergiy Kolodyazhnyy's accepted answer answered both of the two questions.
@karel Ah! I hadn't realized that. Cool, thanks.
It's a nice answer.
@karel I votes on that one about 25 minutes ago

Q: Ubuntu 16.04 - Cannot SSH with root user, login successfully but closed immediately with return code 254?

Bằng RikimaruI could SSH to 1 server with a non-root user. 16:33
@terdon Let me know if there are parts that should be addressed in the answer that are addressed in the older post ( I think I covered most things ).
I am tempted to submit a bug report against my ethernet kernel driver, because it causes NeworkManager to spam notifications about removed hardware and dmesg with notifications, and in the end interface is not detected and not listed in ip addr output anyway
There's apparently a launchpad bug for same behavior after system being suspended, but for me this behavior occurs even after fresh boot or resuming from suspend
Fix is released though, so hopefully I'll eventually get it
17:03
@SergiyKolodyazhnyy I don't really know, to be honest. It's been too long since I've used a deb-based system.
@terdon Well, that's even better - from your point of view you might notice things that aren't clear naturally.

Q: CPU core is very busy and top shows 0.0 %CPU on it

VadimskiThis server is booted with CPU isolation isolcpus=0-7, so 8 cores from 16 are reserved and the only processes that use them are numbered as worker_0 - worker_7. As can be see by top's per CPU utilization the usage IS measured properly for Cpu0 - Cpu7 so to take CPU6 & CPU7 as examples where they...

I wonder if I should post on code review. My code works well, but I feel like I'm overthinking it
@SergiyKolodyazhnyy what harm can it do?
@dessert Really, none. I'm just as always unsure and insecure as to whether the code is good and worth showing to others,if I'm even approaching the problem properly, etc
@SergiyKolodyazhnyy that’s exactly why you should let others review it
