I just upgraded from Ubuntu Studio 18.04 to 19.04. When I stop playing music with any music player I get a hum from the speakers or a loud feedback sound. This just started after my upgrade. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions on how to fix it?

After some months of testing (even forgot it was there) I still consider the following function a good idea. If you try to cd into a non-existent directory, this silently creates it for you instead of just throwing an error. What do you think?
cd () { if ! command cd "$1" 2>/dev/null; then mkdir "$1" && command cd "$1"; fi ;}
with the typos my co-workers make I would end up cleaning the filesystem more than I want :D I'd do it the other way: do a mkdir -p and then autom. cd into it :=D
oh and you only create 1 level :=) cd 1/2/3/4/ errors out >:)
