-n no dns lookup
-T4 moderate speed

kind of like what browsers and apps do . . .

@ByteCommander There were caveats with preg_replace()... Let me see if I can recall them. Does it work with a simpler pattern BTW? How about just <hr>.* on an hard-coded string?
(also are you sure you need to escape \s?)
