I am trying to bring this aging server into the present day (Ubuntu 8.04.4 LTS, Linux 2.6.24-32). I can assign an IPv6 address that is in a /64 subnet to its interfaces but not a /128 (it has /32 IPv4 addresses assigned though).

Why? It's a technical correction (that can be verified as true). If it were a matter of opinion or best practice, I'd be more for commenting but if there's an error, just fix it.

@FEichinger Regarding the technical side of things, if you're unsure about something in the review queue, there is a Skip button you can use to let somebody else (who might know, or have the wherewithal to go and look it up) review the edit for accuracy. The system doesn't expect (or need) everybody to know everything.
Better you did that than reject a potentially accurate correction.
A potentially accurate correction can be noted in a comment and added at the leisure of the post's author or a higher-rep user coming across it later down the road (if it's still not fixed).
Making a content-based decision, rather than a quality one, in the review queues is, in my opinion, a bad idea.
