@Joshua Only joking, I'm actually the one who does all the technical items for the neighbors, they now have an amazing router of their own, incredibly secure, and sometimes, I end up stealing theirs whenever the cable gets clogged. It's a RT-N12 Asus Router.
Anybody know where I can get background music for my video projects? I don't want to look like the guys that always use the ones that come with the editor :/
So, I was looking at Quickly and Glade, they seem pretty cool, I was thinking instead of writing a firefox chromeless "app" because the project is deemed dead, I could write a web browser, this would let me learn some python and then I could just set default homepage to here, remove all the items that make it a web browser and see how that works out.

But, on the quickly download page when not accessed through the software center, there is a 43 minute video tutorial where they go through how to make a web browser.
Meagupload was going to, (after being shut down) release a music platform that allowed you to download titles for free, have heavy advertising and 90% of profits would goto the artists.
@jrg Don't you have that password that you didn't remember that was about 40 characters that you relied on the browser to store, and yes, yes I am. For me Community is best School, where I can learn the real world problems , rather than just learning old technologies learned in School and Colleges.
Glade3 opens Glade2 files nicely. Displays them in a funny layout. Saves them as Glade3 but when you then load it in your app it still has the old design. Weird weird weird.
I found out that if you want to change icons on the GUI it's better to have them numbered. Then you can associate an icon programmaticall in a for i in loop.
Ubuntu - running 24/7 happily, then randomly (in logs) we see tty1 & 2 (local) root logins when we know nobody should have been accessing the server. A few seconds prior it logs a time change and then seems to refresh it's hosts file (which we use for the local network machine entries). Normal behaviour?
Hi @fossfreedom: thank you for putting me on the right track yesterday. I had to remove dialog tag from the Glade file. Now all is good - no more tiny ghosts.
@jokerdino sounds ambitious - you going to have to work through christmas - I presume you are about 50% through now? Should be if you are going to make the date.
