Wanted to ask in chat because it feels off topic to post on the site but does anyone have any resources they'd recommend to a lay person interested in beefing up their knowledge around Ornithology? It's been an area of fascination since youth. Thanks

@Rosie I'd also highly recommend looking into birding or conservation clubs near you. They might do day trips or seminars you'd find interesting; maybe nycaudubon.org/events-birding/birding-resources/… is a good place to start?
