Upvote and it's what I would answer. Caveat, though, you can't force your neighbour to use the medial food & she might just decide that "the cat doesn't like it" & continue to feed the cat badly. — Mawg 1 min ago

@Beofett I think you are validating my point. How is It happens. However [it's your job to keep it in check] not saying I tolerate occasional fuck ups, but staring is clearly your fault (aka your guilty).? It's acknowledging that men aren't perfect, not acknowledging that men can feel as uncomfortable about this as women. — FirefoxMetzger 44 secs ago

Welcome to Interpersonal.SE! Your first question sounds like you're fishing for ideas, which isn't what StackExchange is for - this is a Q&A site, not a discussion forum. Your second question has nothing to do with interpersonal skills. I wish you all the best of luck in your challenge, but I'm afraid this question is going to get closed very quickly. — F1Krazy 59 secs ago

+1 - Yeah, as with most sexual attraction issues, its up to the person being attracted to someone to chill out, rather than vice versa. — Mark Rogers 24 secs ago

It's worth considering the reason why people are pressuring you. I'd bet that they feel challenged by your lack of need to wear makeup, and if you were to conform to their whim, they'd feel more comfortable. ("if I need X to feel pretty, and she doesn't, then she must be better than me, which is bad! I want her to conform!") Everything they say is just is words to cover their true intentions. If this is the case, then addressing what they say is pointless. "You do you, and I'll do me," and leave it be. — K_foxer9 1 min ago

@Jesse I agree with you that if OP thought that "beautiful" was part of the issue, it would be optimal for OP to not agree with it. It just didn't seem to me that in this case. OP said they wanted to avoid talking about the women as "housewives" or in any manner that implied their servitude, right? Anyway, I've found that unfortunately aligning with the other person is usually necessarily a goal if you want to successfully influence their behavior without confrontation or coercion, so you end up having to trade (temporarily) agreeing with lesser evils to make lasting fixes to greater ones. — mtraceur 53 secs ago

@AlanCampbell Quite agreed -- as long as the context is not an actor/TV personality being told to wear makeup for the camera, it is inappropriate and insulting to tell them they need to wear makeup. — Charles 55 secs ago
