Just so it's clear, nobody is saying your question is irrelevant. It's a very relevant question to most people at some point in their lives. It's just not a good fit for the way this particular site happens to work. If you can rephrase your question in a format similar to "this is my goal; how do I achieve it?", we may be able to help with that, but "help me decide what my goal should be" doesn't really work here. — Dave Sherohman 1 min ago

@MatthewRead You're absolutely correct. If someone asked a question about the right way to curse someone out, for example, there is no good answer to that question. Similarly, I agree that a dietary shift is a burden to be bared by the shifter. This comes from experience: As someone who has tried a variety of restrictive diets for health reasons, I actually prefer others NOT cooking for me. It isn't fair for me to expect other to accommodate my diets, even though they are less of a choice and more of a requirement for health. At 23 (OP's age) I was cooking 90% of my own meals for this reason. — Joshu's Mu 1 min ago
