the rival may be a classic villain, but his costume in this is one of the stupidest costumes i've ever seen and it makes me he hate him.

his stupid horns are like captain america's wings on his head - i don't care if they're in the original costume or not, they've got to go.

also, that's just a stupid name.

i thought he was just going to be the throw-away villain for "Flashpoint" but I guess he's coming back?

after watching the episode most of the timey whimey stuff makes sense with the usual timey whimey buisness

up until the little preview-ending thing, i figured throwaway too

but yeah, i saw what you mean about the thawne/barry issue now. but i'm a little fuzzy on some of it because when thawne shows up to kill nora, barry/thawne disappear

and then thawne drops barry off in the present

I don't understand the whole disappearing thing.

because of barry stoping thawne and now thawne having to help barry it looks like whatever made him loose his speed didnt happen this time, so he had no reason to stay in the past, i have a feeling eddy will be alive

and something to do with eddy and iris is why shes in a fight with her dad

I need to go back and watch the Thawne intro episode from S1

I thought he lost his speed because Barry went back to his time.

well that thawne and barry disapeared because the new ones erased that timeline

the only reason for him to disappear is if he never went back in time to kill Nora in the first place.

im about 90% convinced that earth 1 wells will be in episode 2, as will earth 1 eddy because of this

thawne-1 and barry-1 chase each other back in time.

thawne-1 kills nora while barry-1 rescues baby barry.

barry 2 is watching from the room

then barry-2 comes back from 2015 to save nora but changes his mind.. he should be hiding in the room

barry-3 comes back and stops thawne-1 before barry-1 even shows up, I guess?

no idea what barry-1 did after that.

out-of-universe, the problem is, with nora dead and barry-3 failed, where does he go?

barry-3 would have had to go back to his 2016 with nothing any better.

and thawne-1 would have to remain stuck in 2000

that would just be idiotic

so I guess we can't have Barry-3 going back to 2016 knowing he failed and then barry-4 going back to 2016 3 months later?

in the flashpoint timeline, i'm fairly certain barry only has his powers at the moment because the speedforce is protecting him

the same reason why he still currently remembers the original timeline

you mean during "Flashpoint" or after?

the collider accident must have already happened in "Flashpoint" because Wally got his power that way. I just assumed Barry did, too

at the end of the episode, who knows.

the rules of LoT time travel and mucking with the timeline dont always seem to 100% apply to flash or vice-versa

@Himarm slade will show up, but it appears to be in the episode with robert, moira, and laurel - all dead. also, he's juiced, but still an otherwise normal human versus magicked dudes.
