12:26 AM
Welp, off to bed I go, so I can so some weird stuff to my sleep schedule tonight/tomorrow so I can get some little Nintendo figures. Augh.

13 hours later…
1:54 PM
@Keen overpaid on amazon, but i got charizard.

@phantom42 Managed to get Jigglypuff. Missed out on Lucina by this much. They had 3, I was 5th in line. >_<

hopefully nintendo makes good on their promises to stock these better

hahahahahaha

i have a handful of smash ones, and i dont even have smash
i just like the figures
yeah, i'm not holding my breath.
we've been doing clear resin casting lately, and part of me wants to make a mold of some of the amiibos and do a translucent casting with an led in it

huh

2:02 PM
like the walmart clear mario... except light up
oh wait. no. they did gold

and today, silver

i saw a clear one somewhere. it may have been some random artist
we've done LED sculpts before (no transparent resin). they come out awesome. our friend does light up stones with LEDs (with transparent resin).

@phantom42 Can y'all grab the NFC chip out of the original, and have the LED powered by the NFC'ing process?
Something like that is how the light up Skylanders work, and it was snazzy.

nice

2:10 PM
people have been asking her to do amiibo-type figures for a while. we wouldnt sell these though. might be fun just to play around with
Wow. Deadpool has already wrapped.

They have been filming for a while.
Although... it's not due for a while, is it? I thought it was next year..ish.

Just under 8 weeks of filming
Feb 2016 release, I think.
I spent a total of 6 weeks on the set of PotC. In that time, we filmed maybe 15 minutes of final footage.

huh?

Granted, much of that was reshooting from different angles and such

You do filming, and you worked on Pirates of the Caribbean?

2:24 PM
I was an extra on PotC 2/3. Lived in the bahamas for 6 weeks for it

huh, snazzy

userpic is me on set
on sao feng's ship

way cool

yeah, those were fun times. crap pay, but super fun.

3 hours later…
6:07 PM
just out of curiosity:
how many of you work in an office building where you have any idea how to get on the roof?
huh, this is a comics-book-show question but probably better in the main chat room :)

6:37 PM
@MichaelEdenfield raises hand
The trick is, to keep going up, until you can't go up anymore.
The rooftop deck helps too
@phantom42 The errors in that article bug me. Scarlet Witch didn't introduce any magic to the MCU. Klaw is missing a hand in the comics.

Yeah, I wish she had introduced magic into the MCU

@Keen and did they change klaw's name in the movie?

she really got nerfed.

or is that a weird typo?

@phantom42 I don't think so. His normal civilian name was that, from what I read in blog posts back before the movie was out.
Klaw's his supervillain name.

6:45 PM
ah
i've always seen it as 'ulysses klaw'

Ulysses Klaw is a fictional character, a supervillain that appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is depicted as a human physicist who has been transformed into solid sound, and who wears a sonic emitter on his right wrist as a prosthetic device. He has often been shown in conflict with the Fantastic Four and the Avengers and is an enemy of the Black Panther and Ka-Zar. The character of Klaw is featured in other Marvel-endorsed products such as arcade and video games, animated television series, and merchandise such as trading cards. Andy Serkis plays the character in the film Avengers...
> In Fantastic Four Unlimited #1 #1 in Ulysses Klaue was the son of Nazi war criminal Colonel Fritz Klaue of the Blitzkrieg Squad led by Baron Strucker. He was sent to Wakanda to learn their secrets by Adolf Hitler. After World War II he moved back to Belgium and later anglicized his name to "Klaw," and raised his son with tales of Wakanda.

Ulysses Klaw has always been his name AFAIK
In AoU they changed the spelling to Klau tho

@Omegacron the article spells it "klaue"

huh. in the script it's spelled Klau. guess we'll find out for sure when the DVD comes out and see which the captioning uses
MCU wiki has it as Klaue, so you're probably right

I think press releases would have a spelling too.

7:04 PM
in theory the studio should have updated imdb with the proper info near the release. they list him as "klaw" with an alternate name of "klaue"

I'ma callin' him Ulysses. His momma named him Ulysses, and that's what I'm gonna call him.

Animatics from Cap 2 for an alternate version of the Zola scene.
In spite of the sporadic subtitles, there's audio to it. :3
Interesting how often Strucker comes up in this, makes me wonder how big a role he played in this version of the script.
