Watched both Supergril and Agents of SHIELD last night. Supergirl is still good, but the inconsistencies around her powers (particularly how strong she actually is) are starting to bug me. Agents of SHIELD is just a legitimately good show, and I've pretty much loved every episode this season.

i wonder if this whole season of AoS is going to be a setup for civil war. we're already treading into a lot of the same arguments with rosalind vs daisy

I feel like Daisy isn't really trying very hard to convince Rosalind of her side.

@phantom42 I really doubt it. I imagine that Agents of SHIELD will have its own, separate civil war while the one in Captain America: Civil War is going on, but I don't really see how the two could be related at this stage.

@MikeEdenfield Well, Daisy already knows that not all Inhumans are good people. She's a lot less convinced in her stance than Rosalind is.

@phantom42 Until it was revealed that Captain America: Civil War wouldn't be dealing with the concept of secret identities, I was sure the Index (mentioned first in Agents of SHIELD season one and the built upon in season two) was a precursor to the civil war.

even just a callback to "all those weird new powers popping up all over the place" when discussing heroes needing oversight in civil war would be setup

I will be sad if they somehow manage not to mention the Terrigen flood in any other MCU property.

does SHIELD occur in real-time relative to the movies? e.g. did Sokovia happen between seasons?

@phantom42 I worked it out, but it si pure speculation. Synopsis says that she is a retired hero, and in my mind she must have got her powers after The Avengers otherwise Fury would have called her in as part of the Avengers Initiative.

but she's supposed to be a contemporary of Spider-Man, and he's going to be introduced already active.

so she would have gotten her powers around the same time he did.

@phantom42 They've gone back and forth on it. Originally, they were saying that origin stories were boring, but now Feige has said that Dr. Strange has one of the most interesting origins and they wouldnt want to waste that.

@MikeEdenfield It'll be in the opening credits montage I reckon, a la The Incredible HUlk.

I have no problem with them telling an origin story for a new character.
