A: What happened to the dear user "quid" (9072), they appear deleted?

Todd TrimbleA recent discussion in comments under Alon Amit's answer prompts me to offer some reflections on quid's publicly stated feelings and judgments about MO and the differences between MO and Math.SE. I think some of this is also reflected in an interesting discussion I recently had in the MathOverflo...

The answer links to some exchange in chat between me and Todd Trimble. (Unless I missed something, your most recent messages are not linked there directly. However, since there is link to a message in the MO room, some users might be curious enough to look insight.)
If nothing else, at least this answer can make a few more MO users aware that there is chat. Perhaps that improves the chances that at some point in distant future MO editors lounge starts getting used a bit. :-)
To be fair, both Todd Trimble and François G. Dorais occasionally replied to me there, so it is not entirely dead. (I noticed that also Yemon Choi visits the room, although he did not write any message there for a very long time.)

.
I admit that there are no open resources on topology
It would be better for students if video lectures would be available,but i could not find any nice set of lectures on this topic
if atleast one mathematician could have recorded his course,how many students would have been benifitted?
@MartinSleziak
perhaps this is not the motto here, i wish in future soon some good set of video may be there so that young peers can get benifit
Did you try to check on the main site, for example among the posts tagged general-topology+online-resources?
I did not check the actual videos, but there is an accept answer with positive score in: Any online videos on a course taught from Munkres?
Sometimes videos might be useful, but for most purposes I prefer books.
They are of somewhat different in nature. Certainly, there are some things which are easier to explain when talking than when writing a text.
