I did my latest prototypes in Lua to get familiar with the language in the hopes we could integrate it into our engine, somehow... It seems this will never happen and now I have to re-do all my code in JS to show it on a web page...

It sucks to invest time into something thinking that you're tooling up on something & then have things pivot away from that.
Maybe on the bright side: I've seen advise that prototypes should be done in a different language than the production work in order to prevent them from being co-opted into production when they shouldn't be.
On a very different note: spouse made pouding chômeur. I'm not sure if I had it in your fine country or not. It tastes familiar... but it's so good that I feel like I would have had a lot more of it had I discovered it when I was there!

@Pikalek Yeah, the prototype in Lua was a good move, the iteration speed was very fast.
I still kind of converted the code from Lua to c++ verbatim, though.
