I finally solved my steam friend invite problem after contacting valve support
turns out there is a tiny checkbox under a specific section in steamworks that solves it
no the API docs dont mention it

they have this DRM stuff to generate a user token right ? Well turns out it generates wrong and Photon authentication that I use does not pass. BTW they are partners :D
